Reminder to Parents and Students: We are unable to accept student deliveries of any kind at school. This includes Food, Flowers and Balloons. Thank you for understanding.
Attendance Matter: If your student is an ONSITE learner and is unable to come to school for illness or family reasons, it is still considered an absence and will be reflected as such on Infinite Campus. Please continue to report the absence reason to the office. Your student can still login and participate in their classes if they feel well enough to do so.
ONLINE learners: If you are unable to attend your online classes please contact the office to report reason for the absence.

Online Only Students’ Chromebooks–Need tech help?
Online only students will submit help tickets atsandersfeldt with the date/time so she can have a loaner ready for you in the office and you don’t risk wasting a trip in case the teacher librarian is not immediately available!

Did you know: You can borrow books, ebooks, audiobooks, STEM kits, and so much more from the West Des Moines Public Library? To make it even easier to access these resources, the WDMCS teacher librarian team is excited to announce a collaboration that will connect ALL PK-12 WDMCS students* with a West Des Moines Public Library card!

WDMCS will share the information securely with the West Des Moines Public Library. Then, public librarians will create the library cards for all students who sign up. Watch for more pick-up information from your home school’s teacher librarian in early November!
*Library cards are available to students only, but students do not have to be West Des Moines residents to sign up.
A student from Valley High School has started an Enrichment Program for middle school students. Her goal is to provide an easily accessible learning program that is readily available to everyone. This program will be free of cost and will focus on Mathematics and Astronomy. All the meetings will take place online. This is an interesting opportunity for students to explore. Girls Basketball
8th grade girls basketball will start this Friday, October 16 from 2:45-4:15. You will need to have your information in Family ID to practice and need to find your own transportation home.

*Booster Pak is a program designed to increase a student’s access to food on the weekends and school breaks when school breakfast and lunch are not available. At the end of each week, students can receive a sack filled with easy to prepare meals. If you would like to sign up for the Booster Pak program please contact Lindsey Cunningham at cunninghaml.
As Indian Hills gets closer to its annual Fundraising, we are appealing to our parents whose employer will match your donation.
Wells Fargo Employees may increase their donations by working through the Wells Fargo Community Care Grants. Wells Fargo Employees who record their volunteer hours or donate to charities through the Community Support Campaign have the opportunity to direct up to $2,000 a year to their choice of eligible charities which includes schools and educational institutions historically eligible for the Educational Matching Gifts Program.
Wells Fargo Employees may make donations directly to Indian Hills Junior High and receive a 1:1 employer matched grant. Employees may make donations by credit card, one-time payroll deduction and/or ongoing payroll deduction and qualify for equivalent Community Care Grants up to a maximum of $2,000 annually.
